Neck & Back Pain

Osteopaths work to treat and manage neck and back pain by improving joint mobility, reducing muscular tension and inflammation, improving blood supply and drainage in the surrounding area, offering advice on posture and stretching as well as ergonomics, providing guidance on appropriate diet, hydration and exercise.

Arthritis

Osteo can do a great deal to reduce pain, ease swelling and improve mobility and range of joint movement.

Exercise in warm water or salt baths may also be recommended.

Headaches

Osteopathic treatment and management will be aimed at addressing the cause and not just the symptoms of head pain. Poor posture, accidents, whiplash, jaw clenching, grinding teeth, eye strain and stress can be contributing factors. Tension and stress held in the neck and upper back may also be triggers.

Pregnancy Related Discomfort

We aim to assist the natural process of pregnancy to adapt and align as the pregnancy progresses. Creating comfort & ease.

Sports Injuries

An Osteopath is highly trained in facilitating a return to optimal function, as well as in preventing compensatory strains from occurring. In turn, this may minimise any chance of re-injury as well as the wait before returning to activity.

Sciatica

Sciatica could be the consequence of a number of underlying conditions and causes. Osteopaths work to identify and treat these underlying conditions. Pressure on the sciatic nerve may be relieved through treatment of the relative joints, tendons, ligaments, muscles and organs.
